CCIE Wireless Product Updates

Beginning March 19, 2026, the existing CCIE Enterprise Wireless v1.0 lab exam will be replaced with the new CCIE Wireless v1.1 lab exam.  We are currently working on creating materials for the new exam version.  We will be releasing the same portfolio of products for the new lab that we had for the previous lab with 2 exceptions.  The first is that our Bootcamp class will move from a 7-day format to a 5-day format (Monday – Friday).  The second is that the ENCOR materials currently included in the Platinum and Platinum Plus bundles will be replaced by the upcoming WLCOR exam materials.  At this time, we don’t expect any price changes to bundles.

Below is our current estimated development schedule for the CCIE products.

  • End of December 2025- release first part of Workbook 1 and Video Series 1 including ISE, Switch, and 9800 WLC sections. Additionally make 2 new racks available for rentals.
  • March 2026- release remainder of Workbook 1 and Video Series 1 along with more new racks.
  • April 2026- release WLCOR materials
  • June 2026- release workbook 2 and troubleshooting video section of Video Series 2.
  • July 2026- begin Bootcamp classes
  • September 2026- release Workbook 3 and remainder of Video Series 2
  • October- release Config/Troubleshooting reference docs

CCNP Wireless Product Updates

Beginning March 19, 2026, Cisco is introducing the CCNP Wireless certification.  You will need to pass the WLCOR exam and then either the WLSI or WLSD exam.  If you pass the current ENWLSI or ENWLSD exams, those will give you credit for the WLSI and WLSD exams respectively.

As noted in the CCIE development timeline above, our goal is to have WLCOR materials available in April 2026.  According to Cisco communications so far, it sounds like the WLSI/WLSD exams will be simply rebranded ENWLSI/ENWLSD exams and Cisco is not changing their class content for them.  So I am going off the current assumption that our existing ENWLSI materials will be good for the WLSI exam.  No updates other than re-recording a few introductory videos and changing some titles are planned at this time.  But if it turns out that the new exam requires more updates to the materials, I’ll figure out where to place those in the development timeline.

 

ENCOR Product Updates

On March 19, 2026, a new version of the ENCOR exam will come out as well.  From what I can tell, it seems to be the same ENCOR exam with the wireless topics removed.  So the initial plan is not to update the materials outside of removing the wireless content and updating a few introductory videos.  If it turns out that new topics show up that need addressing, we will work to update the materials.

 

Who gets access to the updated materials?

For the CCNP level exams, anyone with a valid subscription will see any new materials show up automatically in their members area.  For people who own the CCIE materials, anyone who purchased under the CCIE Enterprise v1.0 and has an active subscription will see any new materials show up automatically in their members area.  For people who purchased CCIE materials under an older version (before we started timed subscriptions), you will NOT be eligible for the new materials as your period for free updates has expired (there was a 5-year update window back then).
